Once the foundations of building good listening skills are laid out, teachers, educational assistants, and other related school professionals can utilize practical, every day strategies specific to a listening and spoken language approach, with the student. In this session, participants will expand their knowledge gained from Part 1 by discussing topics such as creating appropriate goals and expectations, and using strategies and techniques to strengthen listening, language, literacy, and social communication. In addition, there will be an interactive discussion on how to promote independence with equipment and other school day needs.
